tix to a show #g2kgtg

our stories come alive in theatre.  stages in and around St. John’s nurtured magic in the province’s gifts to the country, as beautifully pointed out in these clips by Krystin Pellerin and Petrina Bromley.  they, and others like Allan Hawco, Cathy Jones, Rick Mercer, Mary Walsh and Andy Jones have stepped on to other stages across the country and beyond, but ever so many more of our brilliant, creative shapers and reflectors shine their lights here at home.

gifts that support our arts community, like tickets to shows and events are the finest kind of #g2kgtg.  they give the receiver an home-grown treasure, and give to the community that gives so much.  that nails the 5H Giving!

patron of the arts opportunities abound.  The Hall (that is the LSPU Hall, Resource Centre for the Arts) offers a Hall Pass (which includes a couple of drinks!), as well as tickets for upcoming productions. Shows coming include Brazil Square and Spoiled Child Saves the Polar Bears.

Turning 20 this year, Artistic Fraud  is celebrating large with Robert Chafe’s adaptation of Wayne Johnston’s The Colony of Unrequited Dreams in February at the Arts & Culture.  like Oil and Water did last year, it will sell out.

Rising Tide’s Revue is another happy Christmas gift idea.

You can’t get tickets for Shakespeare by the Sea yet – they are working on their summer line-up, but there is this amazing fundraiser that celebrates Scotch and the new year:  Scotch and Hogmanay – January 3rd 2015 at the Newman Wine Vaults.

great gifts.  no waste.
